SPARTANBURG, SC – Healing Innovations, Inc., a leader in cutting-edge neurorehabilitation technology, is proud to announce its recent partnership with Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute, part of the Ernest Health network. The collaboration will introduce Healing Innovations' Rise&Walk® system to Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute, expanding the hospital's comprehensive rehabilitative services.
Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute provides specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services throughout Spartanburg and Greenville, South Carolina. Known for its patient-centered approach, the hospital will now enhance recovery outcomes for individuals with neurological impairments by offering the advanced Rise&Walk® technology, which assists patients in improving mobility and relearning movement.
The Rise&Walk® is specifically designed for patients with neurological and mobility impairments, facilitating gait training by synchronizing upper and lower extremity movements. This versatile neurorehabilitation station integrates robotic-assisted gait training, seated activities, and a balance support zone, all aimed at promoting neuroplasticity, a key factor in functional recovery.
“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be trained to use the Rise&Walk, as I feel it has been a great addition to providing high-quality patient care,” said Jessica Bassett, PT, DPT, at Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute. “It has allowed me to utilize creative treatment interventions at a higher intensity without having to rely on the assistance of a rehab technician. I have seen great outcomes with my patients, with carryover across sessions.
“I had one patient with an incomplete spinal cord injury who has not been able to stand upright without extensive support and compensation since his injury 2.5 years ago. He was able to use the Rise&Walk and walk upright for the first time with good mechanics.”
Danny Knox, a recent outpatient of Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute and a patient of Jessica Bassett, agreed that the Rise&Walk has made a significant difference in his recovery.
“This machine has helped me make tremendous progress in my recovery and therapy. I am very happy that Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute has the Rise&Walk to help me and other patients who come here,” he said.
Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute’s skilled medical team, including physicians, therapists, and nurses, will incorporate the Rise&Walk® system into their personalized rehabilitation programs, helping patients recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological conditions.
“Partnering with Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute is an exciting step forward in our mission to bring advanced rehabilitation technology to communities across the country,” said Luke Benda, CEO of Healing Innovations. “With the Rise&Walk® system, we’re equipping patients across South Carolina with the tools they need to regain their independence and achieve their recovery goals more quickly.”
